MUST SEE: Chuck Schumer Is The New “Election Denier”
Amid their overwhelming defeat, Democrats earned more outrage than sympathy from the American public. Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer has recently refused to allow Pennsylvania’s Senator-elect Dave McCormick to attend Senate orientation, despite the Associated Press officially calling the race in McCormick’s favor.
For many, Schumer’s action symbolizes enduring bitterness and pettiness of Democrats, even in the face of undeniable defeat.
The Associated Press projected McCormick as the winner against three-term Democratic incumbent Bob Casey. Yet, Schumer’s office insists that “over 100,000 ballots” remain to be counted, a rationale critics say is just another desperate attempt to delay an inevitable GOP win.
Senator Rick Scott, R-Fla., did not hold back in his criticism, labeling Schumer’s move “disgusting” and calling for immediate action to allow McCormick’s participation.
Scott also noted a similar incident in 2018 when Democrats tried to block his Senate orientation after defeating an incumbent Democrat. “They did the same to me… We have to fight this!” Scott declared.
Echoing Scott’s sentiment, Senator Marco Rubio questioned the Democratic leadership’s repeated calls for “election acceptance.” “What happened to all the demands that our leaders accept the outcome of the elections?” Rubio asked, pointing out what many see as Democrat hypocrisy.
McCormick, who holds a 40,000-vote lead, appeared on Fox News to address the matter, stating, “Mathematically, there’s no path for Senator Casey to win.” Yet, Schumer has continued blocking his orientation access and stubbornly refused to acknowledge McCormick’s legitimate victory.
Senate GOP members have rallied to McCormick’s side, with Senator Mike Lee of Utah offering to “personally escort” McCormick to orientation. “I’d like to see how they’d keep him out if he walked into ‘the room where it happens,’” Lee tweeted, urging other Republicans to join in.
Senator John Thune, R-S.D., criticized Schumer’s refusal to invite McCormick as “beyond unacceptable,” adding, “The voters of Pennsylvania have spoken.”
Thune’s comments underscore how the American public, having witnessed repeated examples of Democrats challenging election outcomes, voted decisively this time for change.
Critics argue that this move is just another example of Democrats placing their political bitterness above the will of the people. “This is about allowing McCormick to represent Pennsylvanians who chose him,” said Senator Katie Britt, R-Ala. “Dave McCormick is the Senator-elect for Pennsylvania and deserves to be at orientation alongside every other member of his freshman class.”
Adding further fire to the debate, McCormick’s lead exceeds the automatic recount threshold, making Schumer’s resistance all the more indefensible.
Republicans are calling this a last-ditch act of desperation, showcasing a Democratic leadership unable to accept reality.
McCormick’s supporters see this as a turning point, marking a public acknowledgment of Democrats’ unwillingness to concede, even in the face of clear results. “It’s time for them to stop holding on to their grudges and let McCormick start working for the people of Pennsylvania,” urged one McCormick supporter.
As Schumer continues to block McCormick’s rightful orientation, GOP senators remain committed to fighting for his rightful place in the Senate.
